PRP Adult Rehabilitation Specialist

New Vision Behavioral Health Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced PRP Adult Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. This part-time contractor role (20 hours per week) is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping adults achieve greater independence through psychiatric rehabilitation.

Position Summary

As a PRP Adult Rehabilitation Specialist, you will lead the delivery of individualized rehabilitation services, supervise Direct Care Workers (DCWs), ensure accurate clinical documentation, and support clients in achieving their recovery goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments and develop Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs) and reviews (IRPRs)

  • Complete DLA-20 assessments for all adult clients

  • Supervise DCWs: review notes, provide resources, and conduct training

  • Submit timely authorization requests via Carelon and Availity

  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings and group sessions as needed

  • Monitor service quality through regular audits and client feedback

  • Participate in hiring, orientation, and annual staff evaluations

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma

  • Experience: 2+ years as a PRP Adult Rehabilitation Specialist

  • Required Certification: CPRP (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner), DLA-20 certified

  • Preferred Licensure: LMSW, LCSW, LCPC, LGSW, or LCSW-C

  • Knowledge of confidentiality laws and rehab best practices

  • Must pass FBI/state background checks and meet compliance standards

Work Environment

  • Employment Type: Contractor

  • Setting: Office-based, moderate client interaction and workplace risk

Direct Care Worker (Adult)

 

New Vision is always looking for experienced Psychiatric Rehabilitation Direct Care Staff for our Adult Program. Must have at a minimum a high school diploma or equivalency diploma; and will be responsible for implementing the rehabilitation activities outlined in the individual's Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP). Some prior experience working with a PRP is required.
 

Direct Care Worker (Minor)

 

We are always looking for experienced Direct Care Staff for our PRP for Minors program. Must have at a minimum a bachelor's or associate degree in a health-related field; or thirty (30) hours, or the equivalent of college credit toward a bachelor's degree in a health related field; or one (1) year of work experience in a supervised mental health setting. Responsibilities include implementation of the rehabilitation activities outlined in the minor's IRP. Some prior experience working with a PRP is required.

 

Licensed Social Worker and/or Counselor
 

Looking for a change, and love working with families, well look no further. New Vision Behavioral Health Services Inc, is currently seeking licensed therapists and/or licensed counselors (LGPC, LMSW, LCPC, LCSW-C. LCSW), to provide outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults, at our Curtis Bay and Harford Rd location. This is an independent contractors position. Benefits of being an independent contractor include: scheduling your own clients, seeing clients based on your schedule. Duties Include, but not limited to: providing direct (face to face) individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy; completing Individual Treatment Plans, Treatment Plan reviews, progress notes, and outcome measurement surveys; completing discharge summaries, and other documents as required. Also responsible for maintaining client records in accordance with established policies and procedures of this agency and The Joint Commission. Must attend monthly staff meetings as scheduled. Must have good time management skills, and writing skills. Interested candidates must submit resume and cover letter. There is an immediate need to fill this position.
 

1-2 years experience working in a Behavioral Health Setting as a licensed counselor or licensed therapist.
